Optimize Disk Cache
Disk Cache is part of memory that is used to store the most recently accessed data. Usually, Windows will use the disk cache to store library (.dll or .ocx) and other system files. Thus when an application request for data, Windows will search the data in the disk cache first before loading from hard disk. This option should increase your Windows performance, because memory is much faster the hard disk.
*It is recommended to enable this option.
Optimize File Cache
File Cache is part of memory that is used to store the location of recently accessed file and directory. The file Cache will increase your Windows performance by reducing the number of time needed by Windows to find a file or directory.
*It is recommended to enable this option.
Add buffer for hard disk
Use this option to increase your hard disk performance when Windows access swap file (virtual memory).
*It is recommended to enable this option.
Contiguous file allocation size
Use this option to increase Windows performance when running multimedia applications.
*It is recommended to enable this option.
Enable Beep on Error
Use this option to generate a beep sound when an error occurs.
Use RAM as much as possible
Force Windows to use physical memory (RAM) as much as possible before using the virtual memory. Note : This option may increase your Windows performance but unfortunately will also decrease the stability.
*Only enable this option if you really need more free RAM.
Maximize Memory in MS-DOS Prompt
Use this option to get about 2-12 KB of conventional memory in Windows MS-DOS prompt.
*It is recommended to enable this option.
Automatically Unload DLLs from Memory
Use this option to unload DLLs automatically when the application using them has been closed. Note: this option will increase your free RAM level, but may also decrease your system stability.
Note: Only enable this option if you really need more free RAM.
Disable Low Disk Warning
Use this option to disable warning message when your hard disk almost full.
Disable FIFO Method for Disk Drive
You can try to use this option to increase disk drive performance.
*It is recommended to enable this option.
Change Windows Installation Path
Use this option to change Windows installation directory. You may need this function if you wish to copy your Windows installation CD to hard disk.
Optimize Icon Cache Size
Use this option to configure how much icons will be cached at the same time.
*It is recommended to enable this option. Recommended cache size value: 2048.
Optimize CD-ROM Cache Size
Use this option to increase your CD-ROM performance.
*It is recommended to enable this option. Recommended cache size value: 2480.
Optimize CD-ROM Speed
Use this option to configure your CD-ROM speed.
*It is recommended to enable this option. Recommended CD speed value: set the value at the same level as your CD-ROM speed.
